Vysor Guides

Everything you need to set up, configure, and master Vysor on any platform. From first install to advanced workflows.

Quick Start Guide

Follow these steps to start mirroring your Android device in under five minutes.

1

Download and Install Vysor

Visit the Download page and select the installer for your operating system. Run the installer and follow the on-screen instructions. The process takes less than two minutes on most systems.

Tip

If you are on Windows, choose the installer over the portable version for automatic updates and desktop shortcuts.

2

Enable USB Debugging

On your Android device, open Settings, scroll to About Phone, and tap Build Number seven times to enable Developer Options. Return to Settings, open Developer Options, and toggle USB Debugging to ON.

Important

USB Debugging is required for Vysor to access your device screen. Without it, the connection will fail. This is a standard Android developer feature and is completely safe when used with trusted software.

3

Connect Your Device

Use a quality USB cable to connect your Android device to your computer. When prompted on your phone, tap Allow to authorize the RSA fingerprint. Check Always allow from this computer to skip this step in the future.

Note

Cheap or damaged USB cables are the most common cause of connection issues. Use the cable that came with your device or a certified replacement.

4

Launch Vysor and Start Mirroring

Open Vysor on your desktop. Your connected device should appear in the device list automatically. Click on your device name to start mirroring. The screen will appear in a resizable window within seconds.

Common Issues & Fixes

Quick solutions to the most frequent problems reported by Vysor users.

Device Not Detected

Ensure USB Debugging is enabled. Try a different USB cable or port. Install your device manufacturer's USB drivers. Restart both your phone and computer.

High Latency or Lag

Switch from wireless to USB for lower latency. Reduce resolution and bitrate in Vysor settings. Close unnecessary background applications. Ensure your USB cable supports data transfer.

Black Screen on Device

Some devices require the screen to be unlocked. Disable any battery optimization for Vysor in Android settings. Ensure your device is not in deep sleep mode during connection.

Connection Drops Frequently

Disable battery saver on your phone. Use a high-quality USB cable. Avoid USB hubs; connect directly to your computer. Check for interference if using wireless mode.

File Transfer Not Working

File transfer requires a Pro subscription. Ensure drag-and-drop is enabled in settings. Check that your device has sufficient storage space. Some devices require MTP mode to be enabled.

Antivirus Blocking Vysor

Add Vysor to your antivirus whitelist. These flags are false positives caused by low-level device access. Always download from vysor.pro to ensure you have authentic software. Read more on our Trust page.

Tips for Best Performance

Optimize your Vysor experience with these professional recommendations.

1

Use a Quality USB Cable

Cheap cables cause disconnections and slow data transfer. Use the cable that came with your device or a certified USB 3.0 cable for the best experience.

2

Keep Your Device Unlocked

Some Android devices stop mirroring when the screen locks. Disable auto-lock or set a longer timeout period while using Vysor.

3

Disable Battery Optimization

Android battery savers can kill the Vysor background process. Add Vysor to the whitelist in your battery optimization settings.

4

Close Unused Apps

Free up RAM and CPU on both your computer and mobile device. This ensures Vysor has the resources it needs for smooth, low-latency mirroring.

5

Adjust Quality Settings

If you experience lag, lower the resolution and bitrate in Vysor settings. Pro users can balance quality and performance dynamically.

6

Update Regularly

Keep Vysor updated to benefit from performance improvements, new features, and compatibility fixes for the latest Android versions.
